Seconding Pascal's prompt about this problem ...

The problem appeared in the DisplayLink 1.5 driver series, and seems to have something to do with the DisplayLink driver enumerating all the USB devices on the system when loading, which causes a call into the ASIX drivers (AppleUSBEthernet) that it doesn't expect. This causes the ASIX driver to go into a "disconnected" state, which only a unload/reload of the driver will fix.

Any updates from the DisplayLink side on this problem?
