Windows Flashing Display/8 USB Not Recognized
I am running a surface pro using a ThinkPad DisplayLink. Many times a day, Windows will state "USB Device Unrecognized" and my displays will flash on and off. The occurrence is completely random and there is no obvious trigger event. I have tried several different versions of the driver including completely uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. I have update the video driver as well. Nothing seems to help.
When this issue does occur, all of the DisplayLink associated devices disappear from Device Manager and are then redetected.
This issue is very frustrating. I have attached the debug logs to this thread.
