This sounds like a USB issue and outside DisplayLink. However there is a firmware update for the USB 3.0 VIA hub in the dynadock to upgrade it to version 9.82. Look for "Firmware Upgrade" under "Drivers and Upgrades". I know this did help improve compatibility with the USB 3.0 hub and Windows 8.
