This is puzzling. And quite worrying of course. It would be great if you could help us debugging this.
Can you please uninstall the DL software, repair disk permissions, install the 2.3 Beta and try to reproduce again?
When it happens again, please collect the logs with our tool immediately after you have recovered from the issue.
