DisplayLink Forum - View Single Post - 3005pr with 8.1 - problems with 2nd monitor, log-in, and screen magnification

Hi all,

As above I have a 3005pr running on 8.1. I have tried both HP and DisplayLink firmware and have the following problems.

a) I cannot get a second monitor working no matter what I try. It is using an HDMI to DP cable.

b) The 8.1 log-in screen will only appear on the notebook screen, meaning I have to open it up to log in which is a pain.

c) I have a scenario where my notebook monitor is quote dense and needs to be in magnification mode and my main monitors in normal mode. No adjustment of settings seems to allow for the system to remember which setting for each screen.

Any help appreciated.
