The USB video driver (under USB Display Adapters) is a very small part of our software and does not need to change, and be resigned by Microsoft, between releases. This is why the version number of the USB driver might not change between releases.
If it is coming up as an Unknown device, then Windows is not able to read the USB descriptors from the device. This can be due to older USB 3.0 host controllers. If you are on USB 3.0, please check you have the latest host controller driver installed (can be found
here) or see if the same problem occurs on USB 2.0. Worth power cycling the whole dock aswell before trying this, to make sure everything is reset into a known state.
