Default Part way there!

Alban - great suggestion! It solved the most aggravating part of the problem - the monitors now "follow the mouse" - that is, they go from east to west as my mouse travels in the same direction.

My graphics options still only identify two monitors - the built in laptop display and the monitor connected by the HDMI cable.. the Display Link monitor does not get it's own identify number, but it functions, and I can drag things to and from it. Not sure why it is not being identified, but the biggest problem is solved.

Thanks very much for your help. I have to admit I was a bit nervous about deleting a registry key, but it all worked out...
