DisplayLink Forum - View Single Post - Win 7 64-bit, Unknown Device when plugged in

Hello all, I currently have the DisplayLink software installed on my Windows 7 SP1 64-bit desktop. After installing the software, I plug in the device and it shows up as Windows trying to install an Unknown Device. The installation fails. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Same issue. I cannot manually add drivers either. When plugging it in, it doesn't matter if I skip searching for Windows updates or let it search. Still same result.

It does work on my laptop with no issue. So it's not the device itself.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
