We would need some details of what you are trying to install (version, file) on what type of computer (processor generation, GPU name and full driver version).
Giving access to the DMP and logs would be useful.
The Customer Support Tool linked in my signature gather all version numbers of what is installed (obviously not the DisplayLink driver as the OS dumps).
The DMP file can be gathered manually after the blue screen in C:\Windows folder provided your computer was not
changed to not create them.
I would also like you to explain what you mean by "tried installing the current DP driver", are you referring to DisplayLink or the Intel/nVidia/AMD graphics?
