Default iTunes video/Netflix not displaying

Hello,
I understand that the issue of protected content not displaying when a DisplayLink monitor is connected is known, but when is it going to be fixed? This is a huge issue for me, as well as, I imagine, many others.

I don't even get an HDCP error - just a black screen with audio.

Again, I appreciate that it is a known issue but I don't think that "disconnecting all DisplayLink displays" could be called a workaround.
