Closed-display mode, also known as clamshell mode or operating with the laptop lid closed is not supported with Macs that have an Intel processor and are running macOS 11 Big Sur and are using DisplayLink devices in conjunction with the modern DisplayLink Manager Application.
An Intel-based Mac must be running macOS 12 Monterey or later in order to support clamshell mode.
