It's related to USB Restricted Mode on new silicon-based Macbooks. Not an issue for desktop Macs.

I don't have the option for this. There isn't a "Allow Accessories to Connect" toggle or menu. Maybe in newer OS versions they got rid of that?n What's weird is that when I search for it, the OS suggests that option, but then doesn't allow me to change it.
Also, I get more than just the info at the bottom in the DisplayLink app. Mine won't even give me any options.
