Default One monitor working

I have 2 two identical LG-W2243S-PF (http://www.lg.com/ae/monitors/lg-W2243S-PF-lcd-monitor) monitors attached to my early 2011 17 inch macbook pro running OS X 10.8.3 and only one of the displays works when the machine is booted. I have gone through the article and both of the USB to VGA adaptors have a Product ID = 0x024b in OS X. Is there a fix coming for this?

In addition to this I can tell you that the details for both of the USB to VGA adaptors in the Hardware List for my MacBook Pro are the same with the exception of the Location ID attribute, which is 0xfd120000 / 4 and 0xfa130000 / 6 respectively. The version attribute for the USB to VGA hardware is at 1.11

After some more investigation I at the moment while one monitor works I can switch between them by unplugging the one that is displaying and after a few second the inactive display comes to life. OUt of interest in the OS X display preferences one is titled as W2243 and the other is titled DisplayLink 1. If I change the resolution settings on each monitor unplug then replug the settings for each monitor appear to be remembered.
