I’ve been experiencing this exact issue. MacOS Monterey, Dell D3100 docking station. Monitors simply do not go to sleep like they do when plugged directly into the MacBook. Doesn’t go to sleep when the MacBook is left idle for the configured sleep time, nor with the pmset command OP mentioned. The only way I’ve found to get the monitors to sleep is to manually lock the machine (Control + cmd + Q) and then Escape.

Not an issue when plugged into a Windows machine.

Are there any plans to look into this?
