Could you please uninstall the DisplayLink driver, repair disk permissions and reinstall 2.3 driver?
If the problem is still there, please collect DisplayLink logs with our tool (
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269), after connecting the DisplayLink device. You can upload the logs here or send them through
http://www.displaylink.com/support/ask_question.php.
