This is my use case.
1. Use 2 external monitors at my office. One plugged in via DisplayPort the other via DisplayLink.
2. Unplug monitors and all other peripherals and close the lid to put the laptop to sleep.
3. Take laptop to another location without peripherals and open it to work.
4. Kernel panic.
This has happened every single time I've done this (3 times now).
