Default Mac's not connecting to Logitech Rally

Hi - It's hard to imagine being more frustrated with this software.
I have about 120 users that I've instructed to update to the latest Mac OS (at least 12.2.1) and the latest Display Link Manager 1.6.1. We have a mix of brand new M1 machines and older but nothing older than 2018.
We use the app to connect our Mac Book Pros to our Logitech Rally Bars in our conference rooms via their "swytch" hardware.
We get WILDLY inconsistent results. Sometimes users connect no prob, other times can't connect. Fix was usually to quit and restart Display Link. When that doesn't work we power cycle the Rally Bar. when that doesn't work, I bounce around the room wishing it had padded walls. We reboot computers and do it all again, works for some users, not others.
Now, the app will not restart after it is "quit". Must reboot computer to get it to open.
I have spent many hours on this and would like a fix, or someone that knows WTF is going on to call me or fix the issue.
