The answer to your question is pretty simple. If you exit DisplayLink Manager, the Macbook will use display with native support. I'm not sure about 30Hz, but press "Scale" with the "option" button pressed. I think this will allow you to select 60Hz. If you open driver then it simulates the display and has no HiDPI >1080p due driver's bug.

Also please check if the HDMI cable supports 4k 60Hz. For example, HDMI 1.3-1.4b easily supports 1440p @ 60Hz, but only 4k @ 30Hz.
