Hi all,

Just two days ago, I purchased the AOC E1659FWU monitor for my MacBook Pro. After researching for a few hours, I found that you cannot adjust crucial settings like brightness, contrast, or other options unless you **also own a PC**. I feel personally as if I was lied to in the advertising, as this is not full Mac support as the manufacturer suggests. Does anyone have any way to turn the brightness down? This is my "Hail Mary" before sending the monitor back, as it is killing my eyes.

P.S. Things that I have already tried:

* Suggested DisplayLink Software
* DisplayLink Software for Windows via Wine
* AOC i-Menu via Wine
* Playing with color correction profiles in System Preferences
* Asking it nicely
