Ubuntu 14.04 display link stopped working
Hopefully someone from Displaylink can assist with this:
I am running Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS and had display link working fine. However, after installing some other software I seem to inadvertently killed my displaylink. I have since tried a fresh install as follows: FYI Code:
uname -r Code:
lspci |grep VGA UEFI secure boot is off Code:
sudo displaylink-installer uninstall https://support.displaylink.com/know...ware-on-ubuntu I downloaded the driver displaylink-driver-1.3.54.run Code:
sudo ./displaylink-driver-1.3.54.run Verifying archive integrity... All good. Uncompressing DisplayLink Linux Driver 1.3.54 100% DisplayLink Linux Software 1.3.54 install script called: install Distribution discovered: Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS Installing Configuring EVDI DKMS module Registering EVDI kernel module with DKMS Building EVDI kernel module with DKMS Installing EVDI kernel module to kernel tree EVDI kernel module built successfully Installing x64-ubuntu-1404/DisplayLinkManager Installing libraries Installing firmware packages Installing license file Adding udev rule for DisplayLink DL-3xxx/5xxx devices Code:
lsusb -d 17e9: Bus 003 Device 003: ID 17e9:430f DisplayLink and Code:
xrandr eDP1 HDMI1 HDMI2 DP1 VIRTUAL1 So there is still no DVI available. USB to display link was connected for all of the above. Any idea why this is no longer working? |
