Lenovo Thinkpad dock on Apple M1 and Big Sur
Hi,
I just got new Apple Silicon MacBook with Big Sur os (yay!). I do have a problem with installing DisplayLink drivers - though. After I install DisplayLink manager I cannot find DisplayLinkDriver Kext in extensions in the System Report as well as DisplayLink does not appear in security settings to allow screen recording. Any ideas how to solve this? Don't get me wrong - new macbook is great but I really miss my two external monitors connected with Lenovo Thinkpad dock station Thanks in advance for any advice! RB |

Hello RB,
The DisplayLink Manager app does not rely on kernel extensions (KEXT) so won't be listed there. Because it's an application, it has to be manually started after installation. Have you done that? Could you confirm the full name of your docking station and that you are using the app v1.1? Thanks, Alban

Hi,
I got Lenovo Thinkpad Pro A047 docking station. However turning on the app helped, thank you very much! I feel dumb, but on my previous intel based MacBook I had kext extension and it worked without an app. Thanks anyway! Have a nice day/evening |
