Displaylink Monitor Flicker...
Hi all,
For the past year or so, I've been continuing to use 7.6 because anything above that caused a very odd "flicker" on my DisplayLink monitor. 7.6 worked great on 8.1 so... all was good. Now with Windows 10 I'm forced to 7.9 as the 7.6 install indicates it won't work with 10. Fair enough. But I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing an odd "flickering". Sorry, wish I could be more descriptive but, as an example -- take an active window on the DisplayLink monitor and simply move the mouse cursor back and forth a bit -- the entire window becomes distorted and "shakes" until such time the mouse stops. Not earth-shattering but... more annoying. Thanks for any guidance. |

more than an odd flicker
It breaks my screen up so its nearly unusable. I removed DisplayLink and my PC works again. And I installed Win 10 on a clean machine with zero other stuff, except to download the manufacturer's display drivers (64 bit) etc.

Please try this: 1. Launch regedit.exe 2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DisplayLink\Core 3. Change LargeScreenBoostCapable to false 4. Reboot Thanks, James |

I have the exact same problem (keeping 7.6 in Windows 8.1 to have it working) and tried your solution without any success.

@solarie - Can you post logs as soon as you see this issue?
http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...rticles/533818 @paulrob - I think the registry edit will solve your issue @pezlin - I think your issue is different (I've just looked into it and replied to your post) |
