Default Monitor Not Detected

I installed the DisplayLink software for mac (1.11) but I can't get the display to work on 2 monitors. When I open DisplayLink it always says "No DisplayLink enabled display detected. I am using the laptop, monitors, and docking station below:

Laptop: Macbook M1 2020
First Monitor: LG Ultrafine 4K
Second Monitor: LG Gram + View Portable Monitor
Docking Station: Plugable Thunderbolt 4 with DisplayLink (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D6X91JS2...fed_asin_title)

I have tried connecting them all in different ways with thunderbolt USB-C, but nothing seems to work. I can usually get one of the monitors to work, but not both. I have tried restarting my computer several times and have uninstalled and reinstalled DisplayLink.

Appreciate any help/advice to get both displays working!

Do you connect the monitors to HDMI outputs of this particular dock?

The Plugable TBT-6950PD docking station combines two different technologies to drive the connected displays. DisplayLink technology drives the dock's two HDMI video outputs.

The TBT-6950PD's 'downstream' Thunderbolt/USB-C ports rely on the external display capabilities of the host computer in order to drive displays connected to these ports.

The 2020 MacBook Pro with an Apple M1 processor can only support one external display via Thunderbolt/USB-C. If you are connecting both monitors to the dock via USB-C, only one will work when the dock is connected to your computer. This is an internal laptop limitation, not a limitation of the dock.

The workaround for this limitation is to connect one or both of your displays to the dock's HDMI ports driven by the DisplayLink technology, which works around this internal laptop limitation.

Question Same, different docking station

Hi - I have the same/similiar issue. Just replying so I can track the responses and suggested solutions. I do have my own post about this (https://displaylink.org/forum/showthread.php?t=69542), though the more intel I can get, the better chance one suggestion might work for me.

The issue you describe in your other post --> LINK is not the same issue because you are using a different product.

For reference, DisplayLink technology is combination of hardware and software. If the product you are using does not have DisplayLink hardware inside of it, then the product is not compatible with the DisplayLink software.

As Szymon mentioned in his reply to your original post, the product you are using does not have DisplayLink hardware inside of it, so the DisplayLink software will not help in your specific case.

I should have said similiar issue, as I was focusing on the model of my Mac. I did read the difference of docking stations brand & model, but as I learned from you guys on my post, DisplayLink has hardware and software, so the model of the docking station matters, not just the DL software.

I posted in here after I submitted my thread. I now know I should wait for a reply on my own thread before commenting on other threads. Again, I'm sorry: I'm new to this.
