Supported resolution for DL3500
hi DisplayLink,
As we know, there's a maximum supported resolution listed in http://support.displaylink.com/knowl...lution-support. Q1. Does it mean that any resolution from graphic card is acceptable?? Q2. Are all resolutions listed in standard such as "EIA/CEA-861-B" and "VESA(DMTv1r11)" supported?? Q3. Is there any limitation about the resolution?? Thanks. |

Hello,
Q1. The graphics card has to be able to process the graphics but doesn't have to display them. The graphics card vendor will only specify what they can display, not what they can process. You can drive the resolutions from the DisplayLink DL-3500 series with most computers made in the last 10 years, provided it is a graphics card and OS supported. Q2. DisplayLink will use the timing provided by the monitor if not in the standards you listed. Q3. Provided you stay within the maximum resolution with standard timing, there is not. It is not possible to list all modes supported by the chip, so instead we have added the max resolution. There are panels of many different sizes and with many timings. Kind regards, Alban
