WindowServer just crashed again
Just had WindowServer crash. As usual, I was in Safari looking at some pages on my display connected through DisplayLink and then WindowServer crashed.
Attached is the crash log. |

I'm not clear this is a DisplayLink issue - I've had several WindowServer crashes that were not related to Safari browsing. One other scenario was that I'd push the mouse into a hot corner to reveal desktop and the WindowServer would crash.

I've been seeing this multiple times before, each time when mainly working on my monitor through DisplayLink. It was actually confirmed as an issue in 2.0 and it looks like there might still be an issue there with 2.1

Additional crash report, this time with 10.8.5.
I mainly seem to have the issue when using Safari on my monitor with DisplayLink. It does not happen all the time when I use Safari on this monitor, but it is starting to seem to me that when it does happen I was just using a Safari window on that monitor. Note: I can use Safari for days without any issues as long as I do not have my browser window on the monitor connected with DisplayLink! |

We have raised the Windows Server crashing bug to Apple already.

Hey Wim,
Thanks for the update. When was this raised with Apple? Do you have a bug ID from Apple you might be able to provide us? Thanks. |
