Default Display link powering down

Hi, my 2 year old Plugable USB-C 4k Hub is randomly powering down and is now refusing to drive my screen.

I run a Mac Air laptop with 2 samsung screen connected individually by display port leads. I do also use this hub with my work laptop, which a ThinkPad.

For a while it would reboot when I powered the hub down and back up again (unplugged it and plugged it back in) but now, even though it has power (blue light) it, more often than not, refuses to connect to my laptop and drive my screens. I've swapped out data leads without any change.

The firmware is up to data.

I'd be grateful for your thought on how to fix this issue.
