Ipad with Mac 1.7 beta 2 realese

Hi,
I downloaded the displaylink app from the applestore then i downloaded the Mac 1.7 beta2 release from your MAC OS X software DOWNLOADS and tried to connect it to my macbook via wlan. I installed the 1.7 driver on the macbook. When i type in the ip address of my macbook in the ipad app, nothing happens.
any idea?

The iPad app is Windows only. There is no Mac support yet.

Will there ever be a Mac support? This is astonishing as the iPad and Mac are Apple products but the driver to use the iPad as a second monitor isn't available for the Mac.

Can't use the Displaylink applet for the iPad does not work with MAC? How long before it is released?
