Interference with iTunes

I have linked my iPad to my laptop and DisplayLink is working correctly. I plugged in my iPhone. iTunes launched but the windows did not display correctly. On my main monitor I have a transparent window that should identify iTunes. Attempts to close iTunes do not work. Thoughts.

Can yo check you are using Aero graphics mode and not basic graphics mode?
