Default Cant get more than 4 displays total

I'm running the EVGA brand adapter, which can power two monitors per adapter, and yet when I plug in the third adapter with two monitors attached, it doesn't detect the monitors attached to it. Any ideas? I'm running windows 7 64bit.

EDIT: I hooked my hub with all my adapters plugged into it (usb 3.0 hub) into my usb 2.0 laptop, and all the displays light up. So windows xp is able to power six, wonder if it's a windows 7 bug?

I checked everything in the checklist from the forum on what to check first, and everything looks ok. Only thing that's odd about my system is I am running two ati cards, not in crossfire, to power 8 monitors. So maybe it's an interaction between ati and displaylink, though I don't know.

Well, looks like I found the culprit. For no known reason, I had nvidia drivers also installed on this computer, even though it's never seen an nvidia component. I uninstalled those and it works now with six! Yes!
