Default HP Laptop not detecting AOC E1659Fwu USB montior

My AOC E1659Fwu monitor will not be detected by my HP laptop. This was working just fine at work 2 days ago. I let a co-worker try to connect this monitor to his Mac Book pro and every since it will not work. I have tired reinstalling displaylink drivers with no luck. The monitor is getting power but i get a flashing display on the AOC monitor telling me to plug the usb cable into my computer. I have tried plugging both ends of the Y cable in and still my laptop will not detect the monitor. Below is an attached debug and screenshot of the display. My first thought is the cable could be bad...however it is getting power through the USB cable.

Hi,

Can you try connecting to a USB 2.0 port on your PC? It's possible the firmware isn't being upgraded over the USB 3.0 port.

Thanks,
James

James,
plugged it into the 2.0, drivers installed, and it worked flawlessly.

Thanks much,
Jason
