I have installed the UGA35000S HDMI adapter and connected both my monitors to one PC. Screen 1 is connected to the provided HDMI port and screen 2 is connected to the USB to HDMI adapter card.
My second monitor shows the screen saver and the mouse arrow goes over there but whenever I click on a windows icon or app it will default to screen 1 and not let me open anything like a spreadsheet or email on screen 2. Everything defaults to screen 1. I have this set up in windows 8.1 under the extended view setting. I did not opt for the video card upgrade in my new computer and was told by the salesman at Fry's Electronics that all I need to make this work is the UGA adapter mentioned above. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to make these monitors work independently of each other with what I already have or do I need to invest in a better video card? |

Hi,
Are both monitors "extending" the computer screen? It sounds like the HDMI connected display might be mirroring the computer screen. Thanks, James |
