Dell docking station 3100 disconnects and reconnects continously

My dell docking station 3100 keeps disconnecting and then reconnecting over and over, until it no longer works. I check device manager and it creates 3 other instances of the device that all have a yellow exclamation mark on them. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, but nothing seems to work. Any fixes?
