Default USB Mouse stopped working

The other day I disconnected my USB-C docking station which supports DisplayLink Manager. I did some work at the table in the living room, and when I returned and connected the docking station again I found that my mouse didn't work, and my microphone and webcam were not being detected. These all use USB.

My headphones and monitors were all still working.

I've tried rebooting, and reinstalling the application, but no luck. When I connect the docking station to my windows PC, everything still works as normal.

Any idea what I could try to resolve this?

I get this behavior mostly when I reboot my macbook, I need to unplug the power to my dock for like 20-30 seconds and then connect it again to get USB connected peripherals to work again.
