Hi there,
I have a user with a MacBook Pro running Sonoma 15.0.1 on a VisionTek VT4150 docking station, and from what I am told, the display on the external monitors disappeared while the laptop relentlessly prompted to allow the connection to the USB device. I was able to confirm the failing connection loop, so here is what I have done: 1. Ensure the Privacy & Security settings (Screen recording) were configured correctly. 2. Uninstall and reinstall DisplayLink application. 3. Test with a known good USB-C cable. 4. Followed this guide: https://kb.plugable.com/usb-c-docks/...1-mac-computer The final step got me the best results in which all of the external devices connected via the dock began to work, but only a few moments later, the cycle began again where the laptop recognized the connection, prompted the user to allow the connection, and failed. This would all happen on it's own. No input seemed to matter. I am not sure if this is a problem with the dock or the laptop, but I have run into issues with these docks and I am not super familiar with troubleshooting on Macs so I thought I would reach out here. It seems like there are some similar kind of issues within the last week or so. |

Well, this is embarrassing.... Something must have changed overnight, because the issue is no longer presenting.

We had the same issue with about 100 total of both VisonTek and WavLink branded docks. What we discovered to be the root cause of the issues with these docks was the power transformer brick. When we used another power supply providing the same voltage and amperage as the original, it worked as it should without issue. We ultimately changed to the Belkin Triple Display docks and that resolved the issue.
