Default DisplayLink Brightness/Contrast Sliders Unmovable at 0

Hello,

I've been using a Plugable DisplayLink product for a very long time, and I know it works well with the two projectors I am using (that do not have support for brightness/contrast adjustment). However, the DisplayLink manager auto-updated to version 1.12.1 (it was previously on 1.12), which I believe introduced the brightness and contrast sliders. They are unmovable (since the projectors don't work with DDC tech) and stuck at zero.

This is why I think that I can no longer see anything outputting from both projectors. Is there any way to downgrade the software version?

For reference, there is no automatic update mechanism for the DisplayLink Manager Application on macOS. The version will not update unless you do so manually.

With that said, the previous version of the DisplayLink Manager Application is available to download under the 'Legacy Releases' section of the the download page (you have to click to expand it) --> https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...ownloads/macos

To save you a few clicks, the direct link to download 1.12.0 is here --> https://www.synaptics.com/products/d...2?filetype=exe

Prior to installing 1.12.0, I would suggest using the DisplayLink End-User Cleaner Tool for macOS in order to ensure you start from a clean slate --> https://support.displaylink.com/know...tool-for-macos

For the benefit of others, please update this thread with the results of reverting the DisplayLink Manager Application version.
