Default Omnissa Horizon Client grey screen - MacBook 2024 models

Hi!

When I updated to Mac OS Tahoe 26.0 (25A354) on my MacBook Air 2024 running latest DisplayLink Manager 13.1 (build 46) and are trying to connect to my Windows 11 VDI machine through Omnissa Horizon Client the VDI session Window (See picture attached) grays out. But if I connect through web browser to the VDI desktop it works. Or if I disconnect the dock and run it on the internal Macbook display the grey block disappear and the desktop behind it becomes visible.

What I have tried:

- Restart master VDI image and Mac
- Two different models of Targus 60W USB-C DisplayLink Dock 180 and Dock 182.
- Downgrading Omnissa Horizon Client App to "VMware-Horizon-Client-2312.1-8.12.1-23531248"
- Tested different VMWare Blast display settings in the Horizon application on the client side. Across different versions.
- Tested different 2024 models of MacBook computer (Air and Pro), Mac OS Sequoia (Works everytime running version 13.1 of Manager) and Tahoe 26 (Doesnt work, no matter Air or Pro running 13.1 of manager).
- Tried registry key "PixelProviderForceViddCapture" workaround from https://community.omnissa.com/forums...-blank-screen/.
- Downgrading DisplayLink from version 13.1 to version 9.0.

What is wierd also as the picture attached shows is that if you mouse drag in the corner of the grey window a part of the VDI desktop becomes visible behind, but returns grey if you release.

Also sent a ticket to the DisplayLink Support through email.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions of what more to check. Please let me know!

Best Regards

EDIT: Tried updating to DisplayLink Manager version 14.0 released for Tahoe. But the problem still exists in this version.

Hi @KvackEvolution, have you heard back from them?

I'm experiencing a similar issue with a Macbook Air M4, it works well when I don't use my DisplayLink dock(Plugable), but when I connect it(w/DisplayLink 14.1) with my 2 screens (1920x1080), I have issues:
- I tried everything you did.
- If I make one of my secondary screen my main display and I open Omnissa on it, it works 50%, sometimes I have to quit and reconnect a few times to get it to work.
- If I move/minimize the Omnissa window, it turns grey and I have to disconnect and restart the app.
- If I share my screen with Teams, the Omnissa window doesn't even appear on their screen.

Thanks

Hi Matts!

Last thing I heard from Synaptics Technical Enquiries was on 10-08-2025 by email that they are investigating it. On my side I have just kept updating Mac OS and DisplayLink Manager but no further luck yet. Hope they return with another update soon!

Another more comfortable workaround I found is just to use RDP to the VDI with an RDP client like Windows App. That does the trick as well, but of course the main focus is to get Omnissa Horizon App console to work.

Hi all - I just made an account to respond because I'm having the exact same issue as OP. I believe it could be the security settings for Omnissa, which is blocking screen capture. I wonder if these security settings are also blocking Displaylink from functioning correctly.

Which security settings do you mean on Mac, what could be related to this issue?

Hi all,

I'm now also coming across the same issue. It was working fine last week, and since then I've tried updating to latest versions without luck. If anyone figures it out please share!
