Hi there,
I hope you are doing well. I have a Mac m4 mini running Tahoe 26.3 and I bought the Elgato Teleprompter (the old one) to use with it. No matter what I have done so far, I haven't been able to get the Displaylink software to recognize the device. When I plug in the teleprompter (either via the 3.1 usb c to usb c cable I have, directly to the back thunderbolt ports, or the original usb c to usb 3.0 cable via a converter -120w/10gbps- to the thunderbolt port once again) the blue Elgato screen flashes for a second and then goes blank. For the record the device seems to work just fine on Windows, but I need it on Mac. I bought a powered usb hub today which did not help either. Installed and uninstalled the drivers 15+ times already. One detail is I have an external Xgaming 16 inch mobile monitor that works fine with the mac. I thought that might be the problem so unplugged that and used a Teamviewer remote desktop connection as my "monitor" and plugged in the teleprompter again. No luck. Do you think this can possibly be a problem with the Teleprompter itself? If not, what ideas come to mind? If you could let me know, I'd be grateful. All the best. |
