How to disable auto-update PLEASE HELP

Hi
Displaylink auto-update is driving me crazy it disconnects and reconnects my monitors after windows boot and sometimes hours later in the middle of my work so please is there a way to disable auto-update feature

On XP and Vista, you can disable the auto update on install (there is a checkbox at the bottom of the EULA window before install).

On Windows 7, this uses Windows update, so will update when an update is pushed by Microsoft.
