Hi there,
connecting the Asus Universal Docking Station (90-XB0Q00DS00050) with the Asus EEE PC 1215B (Win7 home 64bit) worked out fine, except that I won't get DisplayLink and thus my external Monitor running: No DisplayLink-Icon in the Tray bar, the DisplayLink device is NOT listed under "USB Display Adapters". I checked the "HOWTO: Debugging issues on Windows with DisplayLink", tried differend USB-ports on the Asus EEE, tried another USB-Cable (Dockingstation - EEE) and also connected the Docking station to another Monitor. Still no Display-link in the Tray bar as well as still no USB Display Adapters listed within the device-manager. According the the recommendations (Knowledge-Base: Troubleshooting) my Docking Station could be a faulty device, that should be replaced. Before I do so I'd like to know if there might be an easier solution, as I found this Bug Report within "C:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\Debug\DisplayLinkUI.log": 00:15:31.441 MonitorableAppThread:000000000212FEE8 IpcPipeClientImpl DLMonitorableAppC__Program_Files_DisplayLink_Core_ Software_DisplayLinkUI_exe_1 ALWAYS Pipe.cpp:517 Log file restarted at Fri Jul 13 12:09:14 2012 00:15:31.441 MonitorableAppThread:000000000212FEE8 IpcPipeClientImpl DLMonitorableAppC__Program_Files_DisplayLink_Core_ Software_DisplayLinkUI_exe_1 ERROR Pipe.cpp:517 Failed to find pipe client with pipe name \\.\pipe\DLMonitorableAppC:\Program Files\DisplayLink Core Software\DisplayLinkUI.exe:1: 0x00000002: Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden. Translation of "Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.": "the system cannot find the file." Any idea is this might be the problem's core and how to fix this? Kind regards in advance for your support, Spacehead |
