When I connect a new monitor via displaylink on Windows 8, the new monitor is automatically configured as extended display and the "Screen Resolution" dialog shows up. Is there a possibility to turn off this behavior?
The best solution for me would be loading the driver and doing nothing else, so I can configure the settings via API calls. |

Hi,
This is the default behaviour - it's highly unlikely that this can be changed. Thanks, James |

Are there no registry keys or configuration files which can be changed to change this behavior?

Hello,
our company is also having this issue. I could not agree with the fact to force the user to do something unnecessary. The screen resolution is adjusted by default and the Resolution dialog is not needed. I hope you will find a solution.
