Prevent of opening "Screen Resolution" dialog when connecting new Displays

When I connect a new monitor via displaylink on Windows 8, the new monitor is automatically configured as extended display and the "Screen Resolution" dialog shows up. Is there a possibility to turn off this behavior?

The best solution for me would be loading the driver and doing nothing else, so I can configure the settings via API calls.

Hi,

This is the default behaviour - it's highly unlikely that this can be changed.

Are there no registry keys or configuration files which can be changed to change this behavior?

Hello,
our company is also having this issue.

I could not agree with the fact to force the user to do something unnecessary.
The screen resolution is adjusted by default and the Resolution dialog is not needed.

I hope you will find a solution.
