Typing Performance is poor

When typing in a window that's driven by DisplayLink, there's serious lag when typing text in. All other animations and videos seem fine, but when typing, sometimes there's a full second hang between typing something and it showing up on the screen.

I'm using the macOS 26 Beta (Which, honestly, is probably the issue) on a MacBook Pro M4 Pro and the latest 12.0 version of the macOS DisplayLink app. Just a heads up.

The plot thickens. Performance improved dramatically when I closed the Reddit tab I had open, lol. So I think it's a safari issue...?

The fact that you are using macOS 26 Beta is likely a significant factor here and may be the root cause of the issue.
Since this problem does not appear to be directly related to DisplayLink technology, we recommend reporting the behavior to Apple.

You may also try using other browsers, such as Chrome or Firefox, to check if the issue persists.
