I have researched this form and done extensive driver replacement and updating with no avail to a conclusion of why I am not able to get to 1920 x 1080 as I am on my other 2 monitors (Dell E2210H). In addition When I am able to see the monitor as a device through the HP Graphics Adaptor I only am able to reach 1280 x 1040, it is when I change drivers (older version direct link) and the usb graphic card does not see the Dell monitor does it reach 1680 x 1050 the largest that I have been able to make it as of yet.
Any assistance or insite would be appreciated. Attached are the files that you requested. Daniel |

Hi
The product you have is an HP dock. This was one of the first HP docks produced and is based on the DL-160. The DL-160 has a maximum resolution of 1680x1050, which is why this is the maximum resolution you have seen, and will be offered if we cannot read the modes from the monitor. The monitor reports: Display Modes ============= 640x480x24@60 640x480x24@75 720x400x24@70 800x600x24@60 800x600x24@75 1024x768x24@60 1024x768x24@75 1152x864x24@75 1280x1024x24@60 1280x1024x24@75 1920x1080x24@60 As 1920x1080 is not supported, the next highest mode is 1280x1024, which is what you see offered. Hopefully this explains the behaviour you are seeing. Wim |

Thanks for the reply,
The model of the adaptor from HP is NL571AA and the information from the HP site states that the maximum resolition is 1920 x 1080 widescreen and 1600 x 1200 traditional source: http://h30094.www3.hp.com/product/sk...partno/NL571AA In addition the machine that I am using is a HP Compaq 6200 Pro Workstation i3-2100 processor and 12g ram. Attaches are the latest configeration report. If this is incorrect information please let me know so I can just purchase another product and not try to get any support from HP on this issue. Thanks, Daniel Last edited by MaiD; 12-06-2011 at 10:06 PM. |

The current versions of these adapters use the DL-165 chip, which does 1920x1080. However the version you have is older (although it looks the same) and is DL-160 based.
A new HP adapter would support 1920x1080. Thanks Wim |
