Hi!
I've got a Targus USB 3.0 dock with dual display and power. I've got it connected to a Gigabyte P34W v3 laptop. I got the dock to work in Windows 8.1, except the lan and usb audio, which I had to download drivers from 3rd party sites to get to work. Anyway, I don't like Windows 8 therefore I installed Windows 7. I've got no unidentified devices in device manager, I can see the Targus USB Display, which is identified as a "Displaylink Display adapter (4306). I've got the latest software, 7.7 M4. Also got Latest drivers from Nvidia får my g970m. Same with the intel drivers for the 4600 adapter. I can't get the Monitors to work via the dock though. No icon is shown in the task bar nor is any monitor connected to the dock detected. It's soo frustrating. I've tried 7.7 m3 with no luck. I've resetted the dock (unplug all cables) no luck. Tried another usb-port, no luck. The computer only has usb 3.0-ports. Everything else in the dock works, network, usb etc (haven't tried audio though, since I don't need it atm). Got any advice or do I have to go back to 8.1? I'll attach the support-software-zip. |

Hi,
The logs tell me that the Intel USB 3.0 host controller driver isn't installed. You can find the latest version here. I'd also strongly recommend installing Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 - you can download it through Windows Update. Thanks, James |

Ye, I figured out the problem.
I couldn't install the usb-drivers, still can't, it keeps saying that my system doesn't meet the requirements.. Although, I thought I had already installed sp1 I noticed that that wasn't the case. The monitors woke up after I installed sp1, problem solved ![]() thanks for the reply! |
