DisplayLink Driver Installer does not recognize Intel processor with MacOS 10.8.2

Initially, I had no issues running DisplayLink drivers for my HIS Multi-View II USB display adapter on my Macbook Air running MacOS 10.7. Today I upgraded to MacOS 10.8.2, and tried to reinstall the DisplayLink drivers, which I downloaded here. The installer now displays the following error message:

DisplayLink Software can't be installed on this computer.
Incompatible CPU type detected. This product is designed to work on Intel-based Macintosh computers.

My laptop is running an Intel 1.7GHZ i5.

Though you may want to wait for 1.8.1 to be released.
