Bought an E1659F, running Ubuntu 16.10 on an ASUS laptop, followed the instructions, no joy.
Tried with supplementary power. Went thru first 5 pages of forum, no useful info that helped. Using supplied cable. Please see attached log. |

Hi,
I can't read the screenshot, it's too tiny. I do see however that your machine has secure boot enabled - see the sticky post in this forum - you should either disable it or sign evdi kernel module yourself. Logs show that evdi kernel module is not loaded at all, therefore DisplayLinkManager also does not start. Cheers, Michal |

Hey,
I am having the same problem. I turned off the secure boot option, still the display does not work. Were you able to resolve the issue? Thanks Chirag |
