Default Exsternal monitors not waking up until laptop lid is opened and then closed

Targus USB3 dock.

If I start up the laptop/reboot it, etc, the external displays do not come on until I open the laptop lid and close it.

I've tried the 7.1M0 and 7.0M2 drivers with no luck.

Any ideas?

Hi

Can you attach the logs from your system as described here http://displaylink.com/support/ticket.php?id=269 ?

Just to clarify are you working with the laptop lid closed before you reboot/power off the laptop?

Thanks,
James

That is correct. I'll grab some logs.

Thank you

Attached are the logs from a machine connected to a dock that works, but I have to open and then close the lid to get the video output to change to the external monitors.

Hi

Can you try upgrading your graphics driver to the latest available?

Thanks,
James

I updated to the latest driver, but that wasn't the actual fix. I have to confirm, but it looks like the monitors had to be adjusted in Windows settings with the lid opened. Otherwise, it would never make the external monitor the "main display". Strange.
