Using the Displaylink UG69DH2 with my macbook m2 running OS Sonoma 14.6 I am unable to get my two monitors to extend, only to mirror. In settings > displays > arrange there is no box to uncheck for mirroring, and I don't see any other option like this to choose extend. In the blue drop down arrow in the screenshot it only gives me the option to mirror or extend to my roku, and in the other "use as" drop down the option to stop mirroring for that monitor. Is there a way to extend with the setup I have? Explain it like I'm a child, I won't be offended, I am not tech savvy at all. TIA!

Hello Danae3067,
Please ensure that you have the newest version of DisplayLink Manager application installed on your Mac. It is essential to have this app to extend, mirror or however arrange your monitors. You can download DisplayLink Manager app here.

Hello,
Thank you for the reply. When I tried to do what you suggested it said that it couldn't install the download because a newer version was already installed on my computer. |

Hello Danae3067,
Could you share more details about how you have the external monitors connected to your Mac? If you have the latest version of DisplayLink Manager installed, you should be able to arrange your monitors as you wish. Here is how: 1. Click on the Apple menu and select "System Preferences". 2. Choose "Displays" and then click on the "Arrangement" tab. 3. Uncheck the "Mirror Displays" checkbox. 4. Arrange the displays by dragging them to the desired position.

There is no box to uncheck that says "Mirror Displays." I attached screenshots in my original post that shows the only options that I see. This is where I'm running into issues.
The screenshot of how the external monitors are arranged isn't accurate, I have them dragged so my macbook is in the middle and the two monitors are on either side right now, but I've tried it with the macbook on the side and the two monitors next to each other as well. |
