Hi everyone,
I'm seeing what appears to be a DisplayLink Manager issue after upgrading to macOS Tahoe 26.5.2. Hardware MacBook Air (M1, 2020) macOS Tahoe 26.5.2 Latest DisplayLink Manager (May 2026 release) Problem As soon as DisplayLink Manager is running and my dock is connected, the macOS volume HUD appears every 2–3 seconds. The system volume increases by one notch and then immediately decreases by one notch. This repeats continuously. No audio is playing, and it even occurs when the Mac is muted. Troubleshooting performed Restarted the Mac. Updated to the latest DisplayLink Manager. Disconnected the dock → problem immediately stopped. Reconnected the dock → problem immediately returned. Quit DisplayLink Manager while the dock remained connected → problem immediately stopped. No keyboard remapping utilities installed (Karabiner, BetterTouchTool, etc.). No applications have Input Monitoring permissions. This behavior began immediately after upgrading to macOS Tahoe 26.5.2. It was not present before the update. Has anyone else experienced this, or is there a beta version, workaround, or known issue related to Tahoe 26.5.2? Thanks! |

Hello,
Could you please raise this problem following this instruction: https://support.displaylink.com/know...to-displaylink It's a bit surprising as there was a confirmed audio problem in macOS which 26.5 has actually addressed. Additionally, does executing this command makes any difference? Code:
sudo killall coreaudiod Szymon |
