Default [BUG] Mac: DL Manager doesn't disconnect HP EliteDisplay E243 when turned off

• 2018 Intel Mac Mini, Mac OS Sequoia 15
• Displaylink Manager 16.2 (Build 39)
• Main Screen LG OLED connected via HDMI to Mac HDMI port
• UtechSmart USB Displaylink UCN3270-2 (12 in 1) Docking Station
• Screen 2 (LG E2742) and screen 3 (was Viewsonic VX2439WM, now HP E243) connected via HDMI to dock and turned on when working at desk.
• S2 is set to mirror, S3 is extended
• When powered off, they aren't detected/disconnected. When on, they will go into that setup.
• S3 is the one that is managed by the DisplayLink Manager software.

The Problem: Just replaced screen 3 with an HP EliteDisplay E243. When I press it's power button, nothing happens. DLM still sees it and thinks it's on, so now there's stuff still on the black monitor and the cursor goes offscreen as well. Only way to force disconnect it is turning it off in DLM. That is not a realistic option as I am working at my desk/turning them on & off daily.

What do you need from me so this bug can be identified and fixed?

Ticket CSMUSV-215 submitted which includes Support Tool verbose info.

Hello,

I'm afraid the problem is with the monitor HP EliteDisplay E243 which doesn't notify the device when it is powered off.

I observe exactly the same bahaviour even when my monitor is connected directly to my laptop via HDMI cable. After pressing monitor power button; it remains connected in the Display Settings until I unplug the cable.

Regards,
Szymon

This is really frustrating since I have a monitor I potentially can't use now (I understand this might not be DLM's fault).

Is it possible to add the ability in DLM to assign a keyboard shortcut to enabling/disabling a monitor so at least you can use that to quickly change it?
