Hi

I think the problem is not directly related to DisplayLink, but something disabling VBScript in your system.

A quick google pointed me to this (which bizarly was also about a DisplayLink install with VBScript)

This tool from Microsoft can help restore VBscript and hopefully allow the install to continue:
